The Oxygen Hotel will be a 4-Star Superior property with 50 rooms, meeting space, a spa, a restaurant, and a lobby lounge. The hotel will be will be a newly built property located in the centre of Leysin
The owner is a big admirer of fashion brands such as W Hotels, Sofitel So, and small boutique hotels that are design-led focused on lifestyle, music, and fashion. Seeing the successes of the W Hotel in Verbier, and the Backstage Hotel in Zermatt, Mr. Thomas wants to open the same type of hotel in Leysin with a similar lifestyle experience that would include a modern restaurant concept, entertainment experiences that are stylish and fun, a lounge where popular events would be organized during the year, as well as offering a high-level spa.
Based on this vision, Mrs. Bernard knows that it will be important to create a strobe and with a clear positioning right from the beginning. She also knows that the content of the website, social media and all the digital channels will need to clearly communicate the value proposition and a consistent brand message to the hotel’s target market and general public.ng
The four-story Oxygen Hotel will be next to the Sport Centre and the Ski-Lift, right in the centre of the village, just a few minutes away by foot to all various shops and restaurants. It will be located about 10 minutes by car from the either the Leysin-Village train station or the Leysin-Feydey train station making this location a prime spot in the village (appendix 6). The hotel’s 50 guest rooms will feature exceptional views of the nearby mountains. Guest rooms will vary in size, from 32 square metres for a superior room to 44 square metres for a deluxe room. The two suites have all different sizes from 80square metres for the Village Suite to 144 metres for the Oxygen Suite on the roof.
The Oxygen Hotel will possess a boutique-like feel in a prime location and will incorporate its historic setting and architecture and modern themes offering “the best of both worlds.” Its 50 guest rooms and public areas will be luxuriously furnished and finished, mixing a sense of the past and traditional Swiss chalet with contemporary comforts and lifestyles. The hotel will also boast modern amenities, including a fitness centre, and a spa —and immediate access to all the sport activities that the resort town offers.
